build sheet

got my build sheet back yesterday & very confused they correctly show the vin # but then in the section below they refer to a f-150 reg cab 2x4 with a 5.0 gas motor as what the decodes to. Did the send me the info on the wrong vin or what?

Thanks PLC7.3 first link does tell me that it was sold as a diesel supercab. The second link doesn't seem to be working right now.

BIGBLU78 thanks while it did not give as much info as I'd hoped at least it told me that I wasn't seeing things when I looked at 'er since ford's letter said she was a f-150 regular cab & even I can see she's a supercab f-250 4x4.

I have seen what you have happen before. I my case it was because the old rusty cab was taken off of the truck and another one was put on in its place. I have done the same with swapping bodies myself. (Gotta love the Rust Belt!!) More than likely that is what is going on with your truck.

somehow I just can't envision swapping a regular cab for a super cab & have it be all that appealing plus there's the little minor difference that ford seems to think it's a coil spring 2x4 & not a leaf sprung 4x4

Sorry bout that... I missed the Super Cab part. Have you compaired the VIN on the truck with the VIN on the title. Are you looking at the door jamb for the VIN or on the dash plate?

Yeah the vin's match it's just that the gal at ford put someone else's info on my build sheet so now I guess she'll just have to redo it.

Yep they finally did get it right the decode now matchs the vin# though I had hoped that it would give the serial # of the motor.
