Which Do You Drive In The Winter A4wd Or 4h Or 4l? I Have A 1997 Ford Expedition And I Don't Know Which Is Used For Better Traction. Any Other Suggestions For Winter Driving?
Go With The Awd For Merely Slick Roads / Light Snow Dusting On The Road, And 4wd Hi For Snowy Conditions And Up. Only Use 4wd Lo If You Are In Heavy Duty Conditions And Don't Expect To Go Over 10 Mph.

Leave it in 2WD when you are able to move along smoothly for max steering control. If you are just starting to have traction problems go to A4WD. In heavy snow where max traction is needed use 4WD(hi). Forget 4WD low unless you are plowing snow or doing some crazy off road stuff like climbing rocks.
My wife has always wandered the same thing. I drove it once in the 4AWD setting and I hated it. I don't think it is safe at all. When it does sense you losing traction it kicks in too hard. I tell her not to screw around and when you need it just put it in 4WD.
just keep it in AWD till you get the snow up over the running boards the 4wH over the running boards. If over the bumper the 4wl and go slow!!!!! If you get STUCK you are going to fast and make sur your cell phone is charged and you have a tow company in your contact list!! The Expedition if driven properly through the snow is a great snow mobile. We just got 3 inches and every trip into town is an adventure.
