C6 for 78F250 4x4

Hello

I am looking to switch my 4 speed to C6 Heavy duty for my 78 F250 4 x 4 Supercab.

Has anyone done this?

Will I get worse gas mileage?

Is there another auto conversion option that anyone has experience with that might have an overdrive?

well i know my buddy did the opposite to his truck took the c6 out and put a 4 speed in it so i know its possible and it shouldnt be that hard if you have the divorced transfer case.
