Has anyone had a problem or noticed a noise from the steering when traveling at low (parking lot) speeds. It kinda sounds like there is air in the lines. Maybe the fluid is squeezing through too small of an orifice. I asked my servicing dealer and they said that Ford was aware of the noise and considered it normal I also thought that the pump might be made with some hi-tech(cheaper) parts and it is beating itself to death.
I think it's happening all the time but at the higher speeds (>20) you can't hear it. I took a loaner F-150 from the dealer and I heard it in that truck as well. I don't think it's a problem.
My 2 cents,
Marcus
I've got a 02 supercrew and because I'm used to driving old trucks I tend to listen real close when driving. I'm gonna listen again going in to work today but I don't recall ever hearing this type sound...I'll listen again and holler tonight. Whit
