Trans Measurements Help
Alright, here's what I need. Right now I don't have access to the transmission so I can measure some dimensions myself, but if someone that has the same tranny and tailshaft and could measure this for me, it'd be very appreciated...
The transmission is a 3-spd toploader sitting in a 1964 F100 with a 292 y-block. Code 'HEF-AC' as read off the ID tag on the tranny.
The measurements (in INCHES) I need are:
- The length of the transmission case (from where it meets the bellhousing to where it meets the tailshaft)
- The length of the tailshaft tip to tip (from where it meets the trans case to the very end of it)
If anyone could get these measurements for me, it would be really great.
