The radio has to come out first, and that requires either the Ford Radio Removal Tool (two U-shaped small rods) or a couple of coat hanger wires bent (I wouldn't). Your local auto parts house will have them available for about five bucks, and you may use them a lot in the future if you mod your truck.
When you get the radio removed, there are two metric-sized (isn't everything) hex-headed sheet metal screws at each side of the radio opening at the top. You only NEED to loosen them, but I always take them completely out to make it easier to replace the plastic dash.
Then, everything just snaps out while pulling the dash straight to the rear of the truck.
Pulled the dash yesterday and worked on some switching for my new deck and subs....
My 01 F350 had 2 different harness's connected to "blanks" in the back of the dash panel. One was above the backup sensor plug, and the other was in the blank beside the "power source" cig lighter.
They just clipped into empty plastic sockets and doing nothing.
What could these possibly be for?

The one behind the power source plug is for the airbag disable switch. I see you have a crew cab, so the switch isn't needed since any child riding with you would/should be in the back seat. Disabling the airbag is unnecessary and, I believe illegal.
