2.5" inlet and 3.5" outlet. I don't see the problem. Even if the outlet diameter is OD, the roll can't take up an total inch, and if it did you still have same outlet size as inlet size. That should not appreciably restrict flow. Measure ID on that outlet and you will see you are fine. AFAIK, only thing a wider diameter tip does is kill some of the high frequencies and deepen overall tone.

Yeh my dad was just fooling with me....He wanted those tips on his truck...He told me later today..Thanks for the info i knew about the tone...I was going to cut those tips off and buy 22 inch ones.....
