Hey I had to break apart my motor again because I shot a spark plug through the head but this time I'm doing the work by my self. So now I've got the new head in and am now putting the truck back together. To make a long story short I basically took apart the left head timing with out marking the down side.....
So I had to start from scratch. There are 3 white marks on each chain. Two marks on two twin links (side by side) and 1 on the other link (loner) oppisite the side of the two- which, if you drew a line, would equaly divide the 2 whites in half, and same for the other chain. When I took the outside chain off I made sure to mark it better and this is what I found.... The one lone white link was right BEFORE the notch on the cam (weird) and the first of the two twin links on the oppisite side (crank mark) was equally dividing the first white link in half. Do I just follow the same guide as I explained, for both chains (assuming yall are following me here haha)?
haha thanks anyway stewart! I got everything running yesterday after replacing that head so I'm excited I just need a lower pulley adapter to go back to the stocker.....I'm tired of blowing up stuff in this truck.
