need some imput!

I was wondering if i wanted to raises my truck a couple of inches since it only a 2wd, would new shocks work in the front with the (coil springs) and back or what whould I have to do. I think I need new ones in the front because my truck just wonders all over the road. I had an alignment done about 4 months ago so I don't think it that.

Thank you

Not sure on that. Ive got a 2wd too and would like to lift it a couple inches but from looking around I cant find any lift kits for a 2wd. Shocks might help a little if yours are really shot . Good Luck and let me know if you find anything. Daystar makes bushing kits for the front but only for a gasser -not for diesels.

Shocks usually won't lift a truck, that is all the springs domain. The shocks just dampen the suspension travel. Also if the front end is wandering it probably is ball joint or steering satbilzer related.

I lifted by going down to the local spring shop and getting longer springs.talk to them they should know what you need.there a pretty simple install well worth the money.

In terms of front end leveling, Fat Bob's garage has some kits, and the last time I talked to him on the phone, he also seems to have the capability of getting custom sized bushings for the front end lift height. He just needs to centerbolt diameter since there are supposedly two different sizes that have been used... let's him make sur ethat the bolt extension is properly sized and the hole in the bushing is bored correctly. IIRC... his front end custom leveling kit is around $89 and can go as high as 3", which is same or less money for more height when looking at other kit sources... and he's a site sponsor to boot.

Fabtech and Performance accessories make kits for 2wds. You can check them out there:http://motorhaven.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/20A50625A1.aspx
