Engine Cut-off

Engine Cut-off
I have a 1993 F-350,7.3 DSL.
When on either front or rear tanks, the engine will cut out at about 1/4 tank of fuel. 
This occurs on either tank. What could my problem be ,and the Fix for it?
Also, when its parked on an incline after about 24 hrs, its hard to start, as though its out of fuel. If I switch to the other tank, it does start after awhile, sometimes it has to be pushed. It has a 5 speed standard trans...

The gauge "says" it has a 1/4 tank left but do you know if it has fuel in it once it gets to that point? Do you have to put fuel in it once it gets down to a 1/4 tank to get it to run again?

NO, their is about 5 gals left in the tank. I filled it up one time, because I thought it was out of fuel but not. As for the front tank, this problem just started about 8 days ago, the same problem in the back tank has been their for 6 months.....
