Deck wood

I am thinking of using composite wood for my deck wood in my 54. Has anyone tried it and did or do you like it?? I am building a driver that I want to look go but be usable for what ever I want.

I used Race Deck, the plastic squares that snap together for your garage floor. Made a checkerboard pattern, looks good and tough as hell! Rod....

I have leftover Trex for my bed rails. They will last but two things.
1. It is slippery when hard objects are placed on it.
2. It is very heavy compared to real wood.
