how much gain
is there really that much HP gain by installing a 4bbl intake and a header on a 300.Is the cam timing retarded like ford did to the rest of the engines from 73 on.Does any one have a intake and header for sale??

I have done it and it works.....BUT dont think your going to get a race engine out of it....its a work horse...i just exploits that.....do it....its alot of fun if you can buy the gas!!!

I don't know how much gain exactly, but I just finished my conversion a few days ago, and there is definitely a difference. My truck went from not being able to spin the tires at all, to being able to do a dry burnout AND a second gear bark! Like Dan said, it's no race horse, but you can definitely feel it in the seat of your pants.

i have a 1990 f-150 4x4 xlt lariat with a 300 six
un hooked every vacum line there was except brake booster and temp control (heater)
capped them all at the vac tree
gave me a huge performance gain in low end and top end
fuel milage stayed the same butpower gain was unbelievable
