302 Efi

I have a 1986 F150 4x4 with a 302 EFI with an AOD and 3.55 gear ratio. What do you guys think the MPG will be on it. It has a rebuilt longblock motor and true dual exhaust, but it doesnt have headers because I dont want to have to mess with leaking exhaust and them rusting out. Also Im getting ready to put 33x12.5s on it so how much will they affect it. Is there any other easy bolt on things that will help the MPG and maybe horsepower out on it. I dont really want to get crazy with cams and stuff like that on it.
Thanks in advance
Blake

Your probably getting 12-14 mpg, maybe better on the highway. Headers is going to be the easiest horsepower increase. Will also help fuel milage. If your worried about rust, get some expensive ceramic coated ones. Everyone complains about headers leaking, but I have NEVER had a leaking header. Just make sure to use high quality header gaskets, not cheap ones, that makes a huge difference. And tighten them all down equally. You could try a throttle body spacer. I've never used one, but people say they help. Also get a good air intake system, such as a K&N.

I've got the same 302 EFI AOD 4x4 with 3.55s. I'm running 32's with a 4 inch lift. It has a Flowmaster 40 Catback, Magnaflow front pipe with hi-flow converter, and a K&N drop in. I get an average 15 mpg.

Get 1.7 rockers, they are pretty painles to install, and some 4.10 or 4.56 gears.
