my troque converter is kicking in i out i think, the truck kicks up and down 200-300 rpm with the o/d off on at any speed. the cruise control if it is on does not kick off,i looked at the brake lights the brake switch my question is will the brake system cause the t/q to lock/unlock without kicking the cruise off?

have you checked your fluid level? does it look/smell burnt? my buddy has a chevy truck that did that, he was short a quart... does your truck take a longer time than normal to take gears, like when you move from park to drive or reverse?
