My truck is missing again and I'm sure it's the COP. This makes my 4th one in 83,000 miles. What's up with these things? I plan on just replacing all of them and the plugs this time since I wanted to check all the plugs anyways for proper tourq. Where is the best place to buy the COP's and what is the best spark plug to use? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Concern of the cyl head spitting spark plugs has caused a majority of people on this forum to stick with the oem plugs, I think.
I did. And, use great care when installing them.
As far as the coils, kinda up to you. If you like sticking with oem, check with this forum's sponsors for their discount prices. IIRC, NAPA had two different quality coils, at different prices. The cheapest will probably be your local auto parts chain. I did buy one from Advance Auto (I think) when I was in a bind. It looked significantly different from the oem coil, so it was made by a different manufacuter. It hasn't failed in about 30,000 miles.
