i am trying to put a remote start system on my 99 f-250 powerstroke. im having a hard time figuring out which wires to connect to. mainly the ingnition wires, and for the glow plugs. can anyone help me?
It may help to let us know what you are looking for on the Ignition switch.
As far as the WTS function, my Crimestopper has a programmable function to wait x number of seconds before trying to start. Rather than running a wire from the GPR, I choose 30 seconds on the program and it has not given me a problem.
I agree with Guzzle on the wait to start. If it has a timer it will be a whole lot easier than trying to wire it into the light or catching it coming from the PCM. Mine is set for 10 seconds before cranking. Notice the waiting time difference between N. Colorado and N. Georgia.
