Need help with seat

I would like to try and repair the heated seat in my wife's 2000EB. My question is do I have to take the whole seat out or can I just remove the bottom.? Or can it be fixed without taking it out at all? Thanks. Brian

You will have to remove the whole seat first, there are only four torx bolts (T-45 or T-50) and the electrical connectors. At that point you can work on the seat or if you are sending it out to be repaired you can seperate the back from the lower (seat) portion to cut down on the bulkiness if shipping.

Good Luck!

removig seat

Not sure about the 2000,but in my 98 Expy, I only had to remove 4 bolts holding the frame to the floor to get the seat out. I really doubt that you can remove the bottom separately.
