hi...have been reading this site for awhile and really enjoy it...so thought i would say hello to everybody...i own a 2000 f 250 super duty 4x4 5sp manual with the v-10..did not know anything about this moter before as there are not many around this part of the world...i looked at diesels but am not impressed with the noise and smell and probably most important the cost.(not saying diesels are no good.just not for me)so the salesman talked me into the v-10.sure glad he did,am most impressed with this moter, pulls great, sounds great, good milage..12 to 14 pulling loaded(up to 15000 lb) gooseneck stock trailer.no problems holding at highway speeds,hills... drop to fourth hold the rpm's at 3 thousand or more and nothing stops it.seems like the harder i drive it the better the gas milage...now 12 to 14 mpg is not great to some people, but i work this truck hard.for the kind of work it does i think its pretty good.if i was looking for better gas milage i woulda bought a puddle jumper...just recently have started to see a lot more new trucks with the v-10 in it.the cost of diesels is just getting to out of line in my opinion...in my business things have to pay for themselves, wether its a truck, tractor,or some machenery...i'll say what many have said on here before...its one of fords best kept secrets, but wont be for long.as a lot of people i know (die hard diesel guys) are looking at the v-10...anyways...luv the truck, the moter, luv drivin it.its starting to get a few miles on it but would never know it...it still runs great with only minor problems...i have a pic in the galleries...under rancher 45...take a look and tell me what ya think...any questions plz ask...till later p.s for 20 years drove chevys, good trucks too.but none come close to this super duty for a work truck
