What did you use to get the plug out after you loosened it since 9/16 spark plug socket doesn't have the rubber holder? Magnet? COP boot?
Thanks again,

I finally got around to doing my plugs and it took 2 hours. Mainly due to the advise and tool list that many have posted. At 1100 hours and 55k, these plugs were worn! The bottom ground loop part has a distictive worn arch in it now that the replacments don't as well as the positive electrode being worn a bit as Well. With feeler gauges, the old plug gaps were .065-.070. I couldn't get the feeler gauges in all the way so those are estimates when I got to a thickness that no light passed on either side of the gauge.
Not sure it's a good idea to go 100k on these.
Runs smoother and throttle response seems better.
Thanks all for the tool list, tq specs and other good to do things that made this job easier than expected!

08 v-10 plug replacement
You guys have some great advice to save time and headaches. Is there anything special that I need to know/do when changing plugs on my 08. I currently have 88K and bought the Motorcraft plugs from Advance auto parts for $12.99. Should I still use the rubber tubing and 9/16 socket. How about the anti seize spray to break them loose and should I use teflon lube on the new plugs.

Do you have a part number for either the original or revised plug? Ford gave me SP507 as the plug number in my '08. Supposedly this is the 1 piece plug. Haven't verified that that's what is actually in the truck, it's an early '08.
