I have a 2001 F150 dome/map light and I am trying to modify it to fit a vehicle which uses a relay switching system. I can only get the dome light to come on, but not the map lights.

I am trying to separate the two circuits so that it will work in a Chevy (no flaming please!!!)

I used one in a street rod. There's a brass "plate" that supplies power to all of the lamps. You have to take it apart and clip a "bar" on the plate to separate the circuits. You'll see, when you get it apart. I did it a couple of years ago so I don't remember where to cut it.
BTW, that dome light will be the best part of that Chebby!
