Four Wheel Drive Overdrive?
I have a 1971 3/4 ton, four speed, four wheel drive, It is currently a farm truck but I am looking to make it more of a driver also. I like the low end torque but don't like the high RPM's at cruising speed. I am thinking about an overdrive. I also have a 1968 1/2 ton, two wheel drive, with a three speed and overdrive. I was wondering if I could swap the overdrive into the 4x4 between the transmission and the transfer case. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

real the easyest way to get od would look at advance adapters they have an od unit that goes between the 4sp and the bell,all you would need to do is shorten your middle drive shaft and install the new shifter.years ago i junked a truck that had one of these i shouldve spent the time to keep it
