70 bronco light switch removal

anyone know how to get the ignition switch out of the dash of a 70 bronco?

I think you have to first disconnect the electrical connector. Then reach behind and grasp the switch and push in towards the dash and turn. The spring tension is pretty hard so reinstalling will be alittle tough. Now to remove the key cylinder ign s/w housing, you have to insert a paper clip into the small hole and turn the it with the key in the cylinder.

The ignition switch bezel is also the retainer that holds the switch into the dash.

Remove battery cable / with one hand hold the switch steady and press it forward / Use the other hand to GENTLY twist the bezel to the left.

When the switch drops from the dash, there will be a spacer used between the switch and the dash that will fall free.
