timming advance

As I stated in my last post I unpluged the computer and I want to some how if anyone knows how can i hook up my elec. vac. advance whith out having the computer pluged in ,if the map sensor behind the batt.only needs some vac. to change the voltage to the dist. can i run a power lead to the map some how to power it?where would i run the vac. line with the red stripe to? 1986 f-150 I-6 tfi-vi ing. auto 4x4 bone stock not for long.

That's not gonna happen. The map sensor sends frequency, not voltage, changes to the computer, which it uses as one of the variables to set the timing advance. It has nothing to do with the distributor.
If you want to run without the computer, go to a junkyard and get a duraspark distributor out of a late 70's or early 80's Ford.

thanks for showing the light ,will i need the dist. only or the coil to?Are those dist. vac. advance?how do I tie in the wiring ?
