So, I bought a "pedal assembly" to rebuild and use to replace the worn one that I have. The guy at the salvage place sold me one for a 71 F-250. Will it fit my '67 F-250? Are all the mounting bolts in the same place and such?
Yes it will fit, only the doors and the body latch are different besides side reflectors. You must have the falling brake pedal everytime the clutch is applied. I replaced 3 assemblies on a 69 truck that rolled Mr. Odie 9 times before selling. Seems the die cast bushing get loose not only around the shaft but in the frame of the pedal assembly.

Nope, sorry...the support and the brake pedal are 1967 only.

Numbers;
I installed a 70 pedal assembly on a friends 67 (no reflectors on hood and the funky doors) and it was a direct bolt in. What gives, a late 67 cross over model year change over?

I think the main difference is in the brake set up....the '67 used an "overlarge" ring on the end of the clevis shaft (that's the right name, isn't it? the little connector from the pedal to the master cylinder) with a flat spot on one side....the "brake light switch" boulder onto this and was actuated when the pin on the pedal arm would go all the way to one side of the overlarge hole and cause the switch to activate.
The later models had a tighter fit and used a differnet brake light switch...On this one, the switch screw onto a flange on the side of the pedal arm and actuates agfainst another flange on the assembly's braket.
Lucky for me, I used the wrong Master cylinder years ago..and had to make my own braket for this very switch issue.
The main concern I have is for the alignment of all the "brazed on" bolts with the holes in the cab....and/or alignment of the cluth linkage, brake linkage. From all I can see, it appears these aspects are the same.
I'm replacing it because of a hellish squeak it gets from time to time...and the guys at the shop suggested it may be so worn out that a simple rebuild would not be enough...so, thus, I started looking for a suitable rebuild candidate.
Replacing the nylon bushings, 2 for A/T, 4 for M/T (B7AZ-2471-B) will solve the squeek...unless...the bushings that are part of the support are bad. They aren't replaceable.

Yeah, our concern was that the old pedal assembly may have been run for so long without being rebuilt that it would not be the best candidate for a rebuild....thus the second pedal assembly.
