How Hard To Change The Cps Unit.
I Am New To Diesels And Was Wondering How Hard It Was To Change The Cam Position Sensor. I Get A Slight Rough Idle When The Motor Warms Up And Think Its The Cps.

Most likely its not the CPS,,, but anyway..


Look ...here.....

Usually rough idle when warm is IPR o rings....

Is the Crankcase full ?

Are you due for an oil change?...

Thanks For The Info. It Dont Really Have A Rough Idle It Just Lopes Slightly When The Engine Gets Warm. It Dont Do It All The Time. If You Touch The Throttle For A Sec Then It Clears Up And Idles Smooth Again. Any Ideas.

When it's idleing rough, unplug the ICP connector & see if it smoothes out ,, while its unplugged , look to see if the sensor has oil leaking from it,, if so replace it...

ICP Sensor = front inboard (vallely) left (drivers) head, three wire connector.

ya it will be a big difference if its not the icp. the icp is where the 10k mod is done. look up 10k u'll find a pic. promise.

It has a 10 mm bolt that holds it in then you can take a small flat screwdriver and pry it out
