i have a f-350 with a 7.3. very cold up north. my truck grinds and wines on start up. any ideas. thanks..
Hello and welcome.. What year is the truck? Also this is the "introduction page"-- If you start a thread in the forum covering the year of your truck you'll get much faster responses. But someone will see it here, too.
I'm just dropping a "welcome" note, I don't have a diesel but on this site you can bet you'll hear from someone who does real soon. (Once they wake up and start logging in!)
Actually there is a forum just for diesels (See "List" under forums menu and scroll down to "diesel" section. Or you can post to the forum covering the year of your truck. But while waiting for responses you can check out the diesel threads and see if someone has coverd the topic of cold-weather starts.
No problem, we`re glad to get help and do appreciate it, at times we can hardly keep up with introductions.
After a while you`ll get the hang of it just like I did.

Thanks for the encouragement. Besides trying to keep up, these guys posted early here, probably pre-dawn in Sask.
By the way (off topic!) How's the gas prices up there in polar bear country? Here they're having a tough time with what calculates to .80/litre (based on dollar parity, but yours is worth more now I think) But I have a friend in Burnaby BC who tells me it's more than $1.05/litre.
Ok thanks. If I see new people posting truck questions on the intro page again next time I'll give them better directions.
Hi, your friend is correct as we are around the $1.05 plus for a litre of gasoline in Sask as well.
About 8 am is sunrise here in the winter time and I haven`t seen any polar bears, they`re about 800/1,000 miles somewhere north of here....
Have a good one and we`ll see you in the forums.
