They don't really race for pinks but anyway. Girl was driving a 62 ford unibody with god knows what under the hood. Had a hole in the hood with 8 silver breather looking tubes sticking out. She got a couple of lucky runs where the other cars were disqualified but in the end she smoked the other best car, with a truck!!!
I was at a relatives for Thanksgiving and will have to track down this show on dishnetwork. I didn't pay attention what network it comes on. The show after the one with the 62 ford had the qualifying heats and I couldn't believe all the wheelies the cars were doing. Reminded me of the fast and the furious part 1 at the end of the show.
Wow, thought it was cool. A bud of mine mentioned it, I have the $ 13 cable package so my channel selection is limited. Anyhow, he video taped a few sessions just to give me a taste, found them interesting and if I had access I would occasionally watch. Appeared there was some sandbagging going on until pinks were at risk. This was several months ago and understand program was attempting to cut down on this tactic by penalizing driver if they get caught. Think he mentioned same network also offers a 'restoration' type program, that would be intesting. The channel is included in the $80 plus package and that aint going to happen. Understand the dish and cable providers, with the assistance of congress, will be eliminating analog by the end of next year so may not have a choice, Ops, thought for a minute this was the political forum. Anyhow, liked pinks, reminds me, I'll have to ask for some current pinks video.

She was running her dad's Hilborn injected alcohol fueled big block chevrolet. That was Pinks All Out. The racers have to lay down several passes with a maximum spread of less than three or four tenths. You need a consistant car, and you need to run it all out. At the end of the day, the crew picks the time bracket they want to see race, and the racers are eliminated one at a time, in one on one races. Any car that runs more than a few tenths quicker than it's previous passes is eliminated. In the end, the most consistant car wins.
I haven't watched it in a couple months, but it sounds like a re-run of Pinks All-Out. I used to watch it religiously every Wed night, but there have been too many re-runs lately. Was the truck tan and she won the All-Out?
yes it was a re-run, turkey day was pinks all day until 2am, watched unitl 10pm; had to go to work the next day.
speed was the reason i switched from cable to dish, cable didnt have speed channel, at a costly price it did. with dish i get more channel than i did with cable. plus cable was going up in price every 2-3 months and less channels.
Thanks. I don't get the speed channel at home. Too bad the uni didn't have a ford engine. Looked like a cool show. Saw a show once where they actually raced for pinks. Was a big bore watching them argue about giving up tenths of a second though. I like the way the pinks show spent more time racing then arguing.
Here is a link to some pic's and Video's from the Pinks All Out that was in Tucson AZ. 2 weeks ago.
And once again the old Truck wins!! The guy driving was 70 years old

Take a peek
Is that the same truck? They repainted it? I remember the tan one being lower though.
That show is pretty lame.
Don't mean to offend, but the dude (Rich Christensen, right?) is a total cheesebag and knows little to nothing about actual racing, cars, motorcycles, etc.
Did any of you see the epi where he laid that big street bike down before he even took off (Hyabusa, or some such suicide machine)? Tried to play it off like "well, I'm just used to chopper-style bikes [huh? I think he meant cruiser], that have a more laid-back stance. . ."
No "street" racing takes place like he tries to stage it. . .Not that I would know. . .
The dude is an idiot. Period. So much so that watching his show is tough.
