died while driving turns over no fire
here is the entire sad story. 1990 f150 5.8l 4wd
the altinator burned up and burnt some wires in the process.
I went junking and found the wires i needed. The egr wires (3) and the (3) wires that megre with them for a total of 6 wires all spliced together. The only problem i had was the wires were not the same colors. After some process of elimination I finally got it runnung great. I was on the test drive and the truck was running perfect. I went to a couple of stores and was headed home when BAM it shuts off like i turned the ignition off. I wrestled it off the highway and got it towed home. It will turn over but will not fire at all. I can't imagine it is related to what I did any ideas?

If OK then I would look at the PIP sensor, Ignition Coil and the wiring in the Ignition circuit.
