cracked block
my brother is a mechanic at a huge shipping company (super service), with over 750 trucks, all volvo, and KW. well anyway, he knows a mechanic down there who has a 5.9 cummins, an 01 model. it has a cracked block, but is stock, and never worked(its basically his car lol), and low miles. they farm but have a 7.3 powerstroke to work with (imagine that). my brother said he could stick his knifr blade in it. they took it to a local machine shop, that has a big name. the guy that owns the shop knows carrol shelby. he builds race engines. he told the mechanic he had seen many many 01 cummins with a cracked block. he said 01 was a bad year with many cracked blocks, but cummins wont admit it.

yeah ive seen a few of thoose 2 guys at work had theres crack, little jb weld and get rid of it. it was enough of a crack to leak coolant out seems like it was about where the end of the head bolts were
