We went down to Agribition yesterday. It was a good show. A few noticeables - saw Brad Wall / some American exhibitors sure talking differently about $$$ rxchange and how expensive the trip, etc have become when at less than par exchange / girls still look good - whether in wranglers or Carharts covered in manure.
My highlight of the day - pretending to be an american rancher wondering what the big white 'S' on a green background was and all the Rider talk. I asked what a Rider was and got such a wide range of reactions that most of our group could barely keep a straight face!! The bar called the 'Swamp' never changes. The funniest thing was a waitress spelled out all the differences in CFL / NFL football including pay schedules, etc. My jaw dropped in amazement at her football knowledge!!
Thirty seven years after the first Canadian Western Agribition show the number of orginal families to have shown purbred cattle at every event is now down to four.
somethingt about that eh Fom?? it seems that every year the traditional stuff is failing. even the rodeo sucks now. well, if you are cheering for the riders...i tend to cheer the animals...
