Yea its close for me. I am planning if I do get it to take the front clip and bed, motor out of my 76 and install it on this one. I really dont know the value of these trucks and want to get a few opinions on if its reasonable or not.
When I go look at it what should I look for? Also I noticed the head lights were round, thought the 78 and 79 were square? but it appears to have the 78 79 grill. Yea it would be nice to get a few tips on what to be on the look out for.
Yes. The front axle alone is worth $4-800 depending on condition and location. if it runs, and is not completly beatdown requiring major work, snap it up.
I went and looked at that thing today and it aint worth it....the cab is just sitting on the frame and the mounts that are mounted on the frame to attach the cab are not there like they were torched off....the inside cab didnt have a dash panel it was all ripped out, the front grill was all smashed up not like it was in the picture, and the thing couldnt be steered because there was no steering arms... with that being said i went and looked at another one on craigslist close also its a 1977 f100 with a 302, the cab mounts are in great shape, the floor pans are in great shape, it runs ok. it dont have a bed, and the only thing I saw wrong with it was that somebodyt fabricated a mount on the rear for the shocks on the driver side...he wants 400 for it, I told him i will call inthe morning, and I decided im going to offer him 350 for it.... so it looks like i got a new toy!!
ford, i think you have that backwards. square is four sides, equal angles, equal length sides. rectangle is just four sided parralelogram with equal angles. man, that sucks i still know that from highschool geometry 10 years ago
