Idles rough
When i start my truck up it high idles the settles down but i'll go inside my house and when i come back out it is surging and can't idle right.Its a 1990 4x4 new motor 10,000 on it. Some one said plug the egr with aluminum foil. But i dont know what hose to plug up the one to the coffie can or the one that comes from the cat or something.it metal line then goes int about 3/4 rubber hose.

Grays31, I wouldn't do the aluminum foil trick. The EGR dosen't operate at idle, unless it is sticking open. You can take it off and clean the pintle area of carbon. This may be preventing it from closing completely.
