Tire Information needed

I have a 2005, 6.0 F250 crew cab short bed. I pull a 7,000 lb horse trailer every weekend and drive this truck every day around town.

I've got the stock pirelli tires on it which are crap in winter driving and need to replace them next week.

I'm looking for better mpg, quietness, grip on the snow and mud and strength for towing.

I've read the reviews for the Goodyear silent armor (and Pro) and it seems they consistently said the wear was premature and the road noise bad.

What tires are you all running with - how are they lasting and overall what would you reccomend? thanks!

You might check into Goodyear A/TS's I liked the all around nature of the tire. I currently am running BFG A/Ts, which I like the best in the snow and mild dirt duties -- they're a little noisier than the Goodyears and aren't as good in the mud either. If comfort isn't a concern, I'd stick with E rated tires, since you do use your truck as a truck and the stock size for fuel economy...

I haven't tried the Toyo A/Ts, but have only heard good things about them -- maybe one of the folks running them will chime in here...

Good luck

I've given up trying to find all-season tires... I run dedicated snow tires in the winter (Cooper Discoverer M+S). In the Spring, Summer and Fall I run the stock BFG Rugged Trail. I had the same strategy with my previous PSD and with our SUV's.

If I was forced to choose 1 set of tires for all seasons it probably would be the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo, BFG A/T's, Toyo A/T or Cooper Discoverer ATR. The Goodyear ATS that Dan mentioned could also be a good choice

Revos are awesome. Do know about the snow. We don't see that down here.
