the way i confirmed my rumble was to remove the hub locks (very easy to do) and spin the U joint on the stub shaft with the transfer case for 4x4 disenguaged
You may be able to feel that it is not smooth - if thats the case here have a look at this:
Is there supposed to be play in the stub shaft. (I am assuming the stub shaft is what I see sticking out of the hub and it engages the splines on the inner gear of the Warn locking hub). Both of mine can be moved 1/8 inch axially at least. Is that right or do I have a bearing problem as well.
