Door plate decoder
On the door plate of a 1978 F150 2wd, what does an axle code of 14J, a trans code of B, and a special code of 24 mean? Thanks

I am not sure of all of it but 14 is the rear axle ratio 3.00, J is the front axle, B is a Warner T-85 3 speed and the special order I am not sure but I think it is actually a 2 and a 4 not 24. I am just going by my truck which is a 78 F100. I am sure someone else knows better than me.

Thank you. According to the door code I have a Clark 4 spd overdrive. Is this a decent transmission or one of the cheaper units?
