300 I6 screaming when warm

I have a 84 F150 with a I6 that has developed a nasty screaming sound when warmed up. When cold it runs a little rough but quiet. After it warms up it starts to scream. The sound almost disappears when
accelerating, gets very loud at idle and deaccel. It seems to
be emaniating from the EGR valve. Any ideas?

Check the air pump first, try pulling the belt and seeing if it continues to do so. Maybe a fan clutch...

is it almost like a high pitched squeel? it might be a intake gasket leak. i had the same problem, just tightned the bolts. im running a offy intake and no emissions. i noticed it and played with the gasket while squeeling and it was small enough to stop for a second
