Looking at new tires

I drive a 2004 f 250 4x4 with the 5.4l. Rims are 16"x7" and i currently have worn out 235/85r16 tires which look too skinny on the truck. I use the truck for a daily driver, work (landscaping), snow plowing, mild four wheeling, towing, and some beach driving. Im wondering what the widest tire is that i can fit on my rim. also i was thinking about going with a 32 or 33" tire but am unsure whether i would run into clearance problems seeing how i have no lift kit installed. Im currently looking at BFGoodrich commercial T/A's and so far i like what i see. I would appreciate any words of wisdom on any of the questions i posted. Thanks in advance for replying.

Depending on the manufacturer of your current tires they should be around 32-inches tall.

Most people have been able to fit 285/75R16 (33 x 11.50 approximately depending on manufacturer) tires on the stock rims without issues of rubbing.
