Driveline Clunk?
06' Screw 4x4 XLT 6.5-ft bed. 26K-mi
When shifting into gear I hear a clunk, like the tranny or driveline is engaging. It does this also when it shifts from cruising speeds down to a lower gear while cruising to a stop (decelerating w/ no breaking).
I was parked and shifted in D, heard the clunk, shifted back to P, heard the clunk, back to D, heard the clunk and again back to P, heard the clunk.
Not sure if this clunk is related to the decel clunk.
I did a search on driveline clunk onyl got tranny shudder threads.
I will check TSB now.

My 04 doesn't clunk when shifting gears, but it does sometimes when it shifts into the highest gear or when I let up on the accelerator then when I press down on it again it clunks. Dealer said it was a u-joint in driveshaft and replaced it, but it didn't help. Its very intermitent and doesn't do it on a regular basis. Very frustrating though....
