Need HELP with lower door hinge
Why is it always the jobs that should be easy turn into the nightmares? I have the door hanging from the garage door rails, it's unbolted and i'm removing the lower hinge from the body. The last bolt comes out and I hear the dreaded sound of metal falling. The backing plate that the bolts thread into fell inside the body somewhere and I can't seem to find it.
Does anyone have any suggestions to help me out?

Yea, they come in handy for all sorts of things. My favorite is as a makeshift paint booth. I just throw some visquine over them and put a fan under the door to blow everything out. It works great for small jobs that do not have to be "perfect".

is this a common problem when changing hinges or just an isolated incident i have bought a new upper and lower for my 1996 F-250 drivers side door they are very worn was debating to replace myself or let a body shop do it what are you guys thoughts
