Well I've been without a 70's Ford truck for a long time. Almost 3 years. Until tonight I really didn't have the $ set aside but the truck presented itself and I couldn't resist. I sold my BEAUTIFUL 79 Supercab 250 60f 60r 400 4spd back in 04 for $2850 and have been sick watching it run around town for 2 years and then it disappered. So I got the big Idea I NEEDED another one when I thought how about a crew cab 4x4 short bed 250 to match my 97 crew cab short bed and WOW what happened to the prices of these trucks WOW they went up. And this one pops up. Look at what I won it for. I sweated my limit was only $4200 talk about close.
Yes I have plans for a very stock complete resto. Plus I have a 70,000 mile 1997 5.9l Cummins just jooking for a home. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to have my hands on it......

Welcome back to the 70's family we left a light on for ya.That looks like a real nice starting point for a prodject.I know what you mean about seeing a old vehicle that I owned running around town.I hate it.Now I won't sell locally just for that reason. Some people are suprised when I tell-em.

This is what is so great about this site. I get my &@!!$ broke by family and guys at work over having 4 trucks and the "what do you need another one for" question. But places like this give freaks like us a place to go and even interact with other truck collecting nut jobs. And after reading the above post I have to say the "we left a light on for ya" comment is great. Boy last night I was sick asking myself what did you do? Whats wrong with you? I really don't need another truck. But tonight after great responces like these and reading a post about have anyone ever bought their truck back, Boy does it feel good to be back. I spoke to the owner today he's notarizing the title tomorrow and I'm setting up transport as I type. Now I can't wait.
congrats looks good. no holes and little rust is a good thing. good thing its a texas truck. i got burned on my 77 f350 on ebay. it was less than what the dealer said it was going to be.
