<TABLE><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="100%">I just joined ford-trucks.com and wanted to say, "Hello". I am in the process of restoring a 1976 Ford Flareside, F-100. I am looking for a cab in good shape. Do you know where I might locate one?
the first thing we need to know is where are you located? Shipping a cab is very expensive. Second, we need to know if you have AC, and if you absolutely need a 76 cab, or will a 73-75, and 77-79 cab will work. The cabs for the most part are all the same, with the exception of AC vs non, and 76 or 77 and up have shoulder harnesses for the seat belts. Sometimes its cheaper to find a truck that has less rust and fix it up instead of sacrificing a nice truck for a clapped out junker.
Well welcome to Fordtrucks well yeah i agree with master i think any cab from 73-79 will work but thats your choice they are probably hard to find hit up junkyards for a rust free one in good shape or look for a parts truck with a good one in your local paper or craiglist and what not good luck
If money is no object I ran across this site from another thread a few nights ago, they have full fiberglass reproductions of the dentside cab..but they only cost a little under 6000.00.
The good news is you will never have to worry about cab mounts, corners and floor pans again!
6K for a cab, yeowsa!! I found a rust free cherry cab and front clip on craigslist for $100. Craigslist is your friend. There are a cab or two in the classifieds too.
We still need to know where you are located to help you better.
We are located in Ohio. My truck is non AC and shoulder harnesses are not necessary. The cab can be from 74 to 79. What is this craigslist you've mentioned? Thanks to all who have responded.

craigslist.org. its a free advertising site. I strongly recommend you check it out. Once you master that, you can step up and used crazedlist.org, search more than one craigslist at once.

Try the classifieds on here there is a cab for like 100 dollars it says it needs somw repair work done. Or call Mikes truck salvage he can probably sell it to you and deliver for around a 800 thas what he qouted me to PA. Oh you can find his link in the sponsors area.
come down here to tennessee. we have salvage yards that have salt free and rust free parts. i looked at a few and found that all they'd need was floor pans. the cab mounts are good which is a big plus.
if you want email me and i should be at the local yards early next week and i could check pn some prices for you. i am in hohenwald tn about 1 hour and some minutes south of nashville. grab your truck and trailer and tell your wife/ girlfriend you are taking her on a weekend vacation. haha
