285/75/16
Would like to know what if any problems I would get by having installed this size tire on a 2004 crew sb 6.0. I have stock rims and the tires have me looking after 52k for a new set of shoes. I also don't pull a whole bunch but on occasion load the truck down either in payload or in towing. Do I have to get a load E or can I get away with a load D? Thanks for any input to this situation.

You can get away with a D rating. When I used to work in a tire shop we put tons of D rated tires on superduties. If you start pulling alot, or hauling alot, its definatly a good idea to step it up to an E rating.

I was running 285/75/16 on my stock rims with no problems. I now have 305/70/16 on moto metal wheels no problems. I am about to order a set of 325/70/16. If they are any problems I'll add a leveling kit.

I ran the 285's for 55K miles on stock rims with no issues. I did run the pressures at 55psi all around to get the tread to wear even dou to such a wide tire on a norrow rim. They did just fine. No crazy wear patterns with regular rotation.
I did notice a loss in low end due to the increaded tire diameter. Nothing to be too concerned about though.
