Overhead Compass

I am hoping that someone can help me with a little bit of information about the overhead message center, that displays temp, mileage, and compass direction. I currently have an 03 F250. The overhead message center didn't work at all until I took it apart and resoldered all of the resistors. Now everything works except for the compass. The compass occasionally works, but most of the time is just blank or on calibrate mode. Yes I have also tried the directions for calibrating the compass. This seems like it is a bad electrical connection, or maybe the entire compass is going out. Does anyone know where the compass is actually located though? I am guessing it's on the circuit board, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the help.

Look behind the rear-view mirror it hangs down from the mount.

I will check, but I am fairly sure that on earlier years it was not located there. I am fairly sure that there are no wires exposed going to my rear view mirror, especially since I just had my windshield replaced. Thanks.

One thing that I noticed when I resoldered mine was that one of the resistors looked like it was attached at both ends, but wasn't. I would check closely and make sure that they are all completly soldered.

I actually was concerned about that and resoldered all of them on both sides just in case. Also while it was turned on, I tried putting pressure on each resistor to check for loose connections. I couldn't really find anything that helped. Thanks though.
