Went to look at a 52 Merc F3, it has a flat deck with a hoist. The guy tells me it runs but one of the water pumps leaks badly. The truck is in real good shape inside and out, with several dents but no rust. He is asking a $1000 for it so I told him I would sleep on it, maybe try and low ball him later.
Well might as well try, don't worry bout a water pump, they are easier to find then you think and not quite a arm and a leg. May raise some questions to if was ran HOT a couple times maybe, or parked for a few years....

According to the owner it doesn't sound like it was run hot, they noticed it was leaking this spring and so they didn't run it this year. But it was running the year before as he used it on the farm.
This is the first truck I have found that is actually for sale so that is a step in the right direction and the price is quite resonable. So I have hope for this one.
