New member: Have 84 Bronco parked in july went to fire it up last week NO FUEL??? Replaced pump still no fuel??? IT's a 302 stock AT. can syphon gas through fuel line nothing comes out of pump side. Is the pump driven off the camshaft from a solid lobe??? Had 351 that had lobe bolted onto end of camshaft for pump come loose. Just wondering if this is driven same way or not.
Prime the carb and run the motor, sometimes it takes a while to prime when just cranking a motor. you have a fuel pump ecentric on the end of the cam, i guess they could come loose but I doubt it....
Water in the gas can block small orfices, Since it has more surface tension it
grabs ahold and won't budge with just fuel. Empty the fuel filter and fill it and
the fuel line with iso heet and put 2 bottles of heet and 2 of iso heet in the
tank. Did you use Sta-bil in the tank when you put it up? 90 days and fuel
starts turning bad if you have the room fill it up with fresh fuel and a bunch of
that lucas fuel treatment and DO NOT use high octane gas if you have a 7-11
that has that low octane gas option run that or just 87 if that is what they have.
