well today i finally got to go see keith. Needless to say my truck is going to have an awesome christmas. I bought 1 set of edelbrock 8BA aluminum finned heads, an offy left edelbrock aluminum generator bracket, 2 polsihed aluminum thermostat housings, one set of chrome bolt acorns for heads, one acorn set for the edelbrock aluminum super duals (still need machining so pick them up next week), a lowered rear sump oil pan with pick up and dipstick, and all hi performance gaskets for all above and timing cover. Grand total........ da da da, $900!! but well worth it
This is all good stuff here, congrats on breaking out the big purchase.
I can hardly wait till spring to see your ride!
On second thought I`ll have to sneak over before then to have a look at the 53 and your new Garage-Mahal.
I could probably spare a few evening, fiberglass insulation makes me pretty itchy.
You must have an FAC Sherm, I don`t but then I don`t really need one except to get .22 ammo.
That sounds awsome Chris your truck is going to love you for that.
Shem areyou going out bright and early Monday morning? If Bambi has seen you shoot before he might not be all that scared. LOL I won't be able to make it out until aleast wednesday.
ya by the looks of the heads i have hours and hours of polishing to do. good theing the therm housings are already polished (poorly) and the super duals are factory polished back in 53/54 and still look awesome. Except i have tools they didnt have so i can get in all the little nooks and crannies and make it look perfect, same with my timing gear cover. Ill post some pics in the gallery tomorrow of all cept the super duals
