Dashboard backlighting
Morning all.
On my way home this morning I noticed that I'm starting to lose the backlighting on my dashboard. I've replaced bulbs in older vehicles (couple of Aerostars, other brands as well). My question is this, do I have to worry about any oddball stuff that might get buggered up while digging down to the dashboard to replace the lights? I'm just worried about mucking up any of the electrical system, ie: airbag, any older PATS system (if there were such a thing), etc.

Since you have the analog dash there really isn't much electronic in there to mess up, biggest problem is pulling it all out. The bulbs simple slide into place with those little half turn clips.

Make darned certain you disconnect the battery first....
Might as well replace all the bulbs while you're in there.
Your "analog" cluster has a computer and electronics in it. Take appropriate anti-static measures while handling it.
