hey guys. gota quick question for you guys who have installed the t-5 into the 61-66 trucks with the 292. did you use the adapter plate and the 94 and up t-5 from a mustang???? for those of you who did use the 94 and later mustang t-5, what clutch set did you use????(diaphram, long, mustang, truck, etc) what pilot bushing did you use????? was it the stang pilot bushing or is ther a custom pilot bushing that is needed. is the transmission x-member needed???? the reason i am asking is i am in the middle stages of planning for to do the t-5 swap on my 64 ford f100 and i am looking at the adapter plate and the 94-later t-5 so i am looking for the nitty gritty. what parts you all have used, stuff you dont read about, etc. thanx guys.
Browsing the internet, looking at tranny swap for my 65 F100, and came across an article on swapping a C4 with a T-5 on a 65 Ford Falcon. It's about as far from a Ford truck as you can get but thought may be helpful as a resource, hopefully, other members knowledgeable with the t-5 installation will add info.
Also, just seen where a member in the '48-60' truck forum "t-5 issue" posted a thread, did not have time to check it out, may want to take a look.
