I'm Close To Replacing My Ford With A Dodge

I had an instructor in college who worked for O&G which is just about the largest construction company in CT, they run hundreds of 2wheel drive pick up's mostly 1/2 or 3/4 ton. When they buy new ones they do it on a bid set up I believe, so who ever can build them the cheapest truck speced how they want. Well anyways he was directly involved in the maintenance and said that out of all the brands they had, that dodge was usually the cheapest to maintaine, altho the trucks usually fell apart around the engine. My dad has a 2001 3/4 ton cummins, and its been a decent truck but at 110k its showing its dodgeness, cup holder is fallin off dash, the bottom of the doors are rotted out, the cushion on the drivers side seat is fallin apart. Its just a bunch of small things that make it seem abused, when in reality its been a homeowmers truck, drive it to work during the week, tow the camper or pick up a load of lumber on the weekends. My 87 with 250k+ miles on it, maybe over 300K seems to be in better shape, atleast the interior seems to be holding up better.
