Just a few weeks ago, my friend was messing with my inside door handle and it mades the sub make noise. He would just pull on it and release. When the handle slammed the door it made the sub "hit". But the weird thing is that is wont make the noise if the right speaker isnt screwed into the inner door.
Lately i have been blowing my interior light/power lock fuse, it will blow almost immediately. So i took my door panel off to see if there was any short(there wasnt). And i notice when i hit the inner door with my fist it makes the sub do the same thing when the door handle slams. So i took the right speaker out to see if there is any shorts, but i noticed that when the speaker is in my hand and i hit the door the sub doesnt do anything. So it is related with the speaker grounding. So im wondering if it has to do with the radio or something?
By the way my system is:
1 kicker CVR 12"
1 boss amp
1 schosche radio outputs to RCA adapter
Facotry tape radio
Sorry if this seems confusing
How does the wiring to the speaker look? Anytime I have installed speakers in a door, I have had to be careful when placing the speaker in the sheetmetal, such that the wires to the speaker do not get caught underneath the speaker. If any of the wire is exposed it will ground out. Also make sure that the speaker wire is properly connected - if you wired it yourself, make sure nothing is exposed - use spade terminals for speaker connections. You're right; something is shorting somewhere and you'll just have to find out where.

I couldnt find any cuts in the wires, but ill look more this weekend. I sodered the wires to the speaker. I wonder if i could temp. put a large amperage fuse in there, and then feel around for a warm/hot wire? It sucks that it keeps blowing the fuse, i cant use my windows, locks or int. lights.
Im not real good with electric, so any help is appreciated.
If you think that door is blowing the fuse, unplug the wiring and try another fuse. Your amp problem might be something different. It almost sounds like a grounding problem with the amp. How do you have the amp grounded?
The amp is grounded to the cab, on one of the bolts that held down that floor organizer thing. Its not a real powerful amp, if it was more powerful i would of grounded it to the frame or something.
And when you say unplug that door, just unplug everything ? Like the actuator, switches, etc.?
Yes, or see if there are some plugs behind the kick panel.
If you made the ground wire longer, and ran it to the same ground you are using for the radio, the popping might go away. Sometimes you can get into what they call a "ground loop". The ground may not be as good on the amp as it is for the other components, or vise-versa. What this can cause is current to flow through your RCA cables going to the amp. These cables have a shield that is grounded, and the shield ends up being the ground for one of the components.
